All Volkswagen vehicles sold in the country follow emission regulations

Volkswagen Philippines has just made an announcement regarding their cars in light of the diesel emissions scandal that have recently surfaced.

“We have some good news,” said Mr. Klaus Schadewald, VW Philippines's Chief Operating Adviser. “Our cars in the Philippines are unaffected by the diesel emissions issue.”

The crisis that Volkswagen is facing worldwide was brought about by the discovery of software designed to defeat emissions standards for California as well Euro 5 and Euro 6.

“Our cars comply 100% with Philippine emissions standards and regulations,” continued Schadewald.

“Cars sold by Volkswagen Philippines have no software installed which alters emissions output.”

The VW 'diesel dupe' or 'dieselgate', as it has been referred to by the media, is the most serious crisis that VW has faced to date, resulting in the resignation of Martin Winterkorn as VW CEO.
