Called the GTI Roadster, Vision Gran Turismo, it will make its debut at the Woerthersee Festival in Austria that kicks off on May 28.

Unlike the Golf GTI, this roadster will obviously have more, a lot more.  It will be powered by a .0-liter twin-turbo,VR6® TSI® engine producing 503HP and 491 and 665.7Nm of torque.  That, together with a seven-speed DSG® dual-clutch automatic transmission, a very ‘low-cut windshield’ and aerodynamic form makes for one ‘ferociously fast’ supercar.

With all that power, comes great braking ability using ‘supercar-style vented disc brakes with a diameter of 15.0 inches up front and 14.0 inches at the back.’

Keeping it glued to the ground in an integrated rear diffuser, a huge rear wing and a ‘race-car-style front splitter.’  It sits on 20-inch wheels that carry 235/35 front, 275/30 rear tires and uses 4Motion® all-wheel drive.
