Beginning of a partnership with Makati Shangri-La and NCLP

Makati Shangri-la has received its fleet of Volkswagen vehicles after the automaker completed the delivery of the 80 units purchased by the hotel, including the 40 units of the Jetta C-segment sedan, among others.

During the ceremony, Volkswagen turned over 31 units of the D-segment Passat. The hotel's acquisition of the Passat and Jetta units was made possible by Nissan Car Lease Philippines (NCLP), a recognized car rental service that has been operating for the past 24 years.

“I am extremely honoured that one of the country’s most prestigious luxury hotels, the Makati Shangri-La, has partnered with Volkswagen. This afternoon, as we formally hand over 31 Passat limousines which completes the 80 Volkswagen cars ordered, I am simply amazed at how perfectly aligned our collaboration is. Nothing would delight us more than to provide our valued passengers—your valued hotel guests—the level of premium transportation experience that puts people first,” said John Orbeta, president and CEO of Volkswagen Philippines.

In review, the new Volkswagen Passat was awarded 2015 European Car of The Year and was also recognized at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show for Best In Class Performance on interior and technology. It is driven by a 2.0-liter BlueMotion TSI inline-four that delivers 220 PS and is mated to a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox.

With their standards, Makati Shangri-La Hotel claims that collaborating with Volkswagen Philippines and Nissan Car Lease Philippines (NCLP) is a good choice as they embody the same promise.
