Adds new 3 TSI and 2 TDI engines

Volkswagen recently announced plans of introducing new engines and technology for the 2015 Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet. The new power plants are now Euro 6 compliant and there is also a new optional 'Discover Media' navigation system.

A total of 5 new engines will be available for the Beetle which consist of 3 TSI engines and 2 TDI engines. The TSI units will have power ratings that will range from 105 PS, 150 PS and 220 PS while TDI units are rated at 110 PS and 150 PS. Besides the increase in power, Volkswagen also stated that the engines are now 13% more fuel efficient. The Beetle's DSG gearbox has also been fitted with a 'coasting function' which automatically puts the car in neutral should it sense that there is no acceleration input.

Available tech for the Beetle come 2015 will include a rearview camera, a Rear Traffic Alert System and a Blind Spot Monitor. Three new interior color packages will also become available; Tornado Red, Pure White and Reflex Silver Metallic.
