Breathe Easy

Environmental care has been a core Volvo value since it was founded in 1927, well before it became trendy to care about the planet. Since then, Volvo have worked systematically to reduce its environmental impact, producing innovations such as the three-way catalytic converter with Lambdasond that reduces harmful emissions by 90 percent and is one of the most important Volvo inventions ever. Today the catalytic converter is a standard feature Volvo shared with the world and can be seen on virtually every car sold worldwide.

With Volvo, you are assured to experience a clean environment inside and out. Dashboards, safety belt buckles it's not just engines that produce emissions. That's why Volvo cars don't contain certain materials that trigger allergies or give off toxins. The interior environment is designed to keep fumes and certain allergens outside. Volvo has also made their "traditional" engines cleaner and made sure that even their factories are among the cleanest in the world. As a testimony to its dedication in protecting the environment, Volvo launched the first V8 engine in the world to fulfill the Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV II) standards in 2004.

The Into the Green campaign further shows Volvo owners just how much fun it is to drive an environment-friendly vehicle in a green environment such as the one at the scenic summer getaway, Osterlen. The vacation also gives the opportunity to see the historical Gustav Adolf Torg and the famed Opera House. Nourishing the mind as well, visits and tours to sites such as the Gothenburg Art Museum, the Universeum and the Museum of World Culture is also in store for the winners. What's more, a chance to visit the Volvo Museum is also included, for them to find out how classical values have been refined to make Volvo one of the world's most powerful and respected brand names.

This 2008, Volvo offers its valued patrons even more reason to enjoy the summer heat as they get comfort and peace of mind from getting quality service from an authorized Volvo workshop, where proper parts, methods and competencies are used. No unpleasant surprises, just the thrill of driving one of the safest, cleanest cars in the world.
