Up to PHP 200,000 off for S60 T5 and XC60
Scandinavian Motors Corporation (SMC), the official importer and assembler of Volvo cars in the Philippines recently celebrated 20 years in the business. In commemoration, Volvo Philippines launched the Volvo 20/20 Platinum Program to provide further ways to celebrate and own a Volvo automobile.
From November 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015, those who will inquire at any Volvo dealerships will get a kit that comes with full model spec sheets that highlight each Volvo model's distinct features both here and abroad. Special discounts will also be available during the promo which include a PHP 200,000 price cut on the S60 T5, S60 D4 Lux and XC60. A 20-percent discount on the other hand can be availed for the Volvo S60 T6 and XC90. Under Volvo Personal Car Care, the company is also offering free servicing for the first 20 customers at any of their authorized Volvo service centers.

Scandinavian Motors Corporation was founded back in 1994 and has been the sole importer and assembler of Volvo cars since. Also in the same year, the company was able to launch the 850 series which was then followed by the 960 in 1995. The company was so successful, they were awarded with the Volvo Diamond Award as best importer from among 23 countries, outstanding performance in vehicle sales, parts and service operations, competitive positioning and customer satisfaction.
In May 2005, the company sealed the deal with Pasajero Motor Corporation which paved the way of opening their 1st dealership in Cebu. In 2009, Volvo Philippines launched the car that could stop itself, the Volvo XC60 fitted with the brand's City Safety Technology. 2011 saw the company releasing the V60 T5 Sportswagon at the Manila International Auto Show. The car presented itself with new safety features such as Collision Warning with Full Auto Break and Pedestrian Detection. 2013 marked the company's Metro Manila expansion as they were able to open 2 new dealerships; Volvo North EDSA and Volvo Alabang. The company's latest milestone in 2014 is the expansion of their network of partners after SMC was able to open a sales outlet in Iloilo City in partnership with Iloilo Great Cars Inc.
