Louie Zamuco / Mikko David, Louie Zamuco | October 09, 2008 00:00XFM 92.3, the new home of smooth jazz in Mega Manila, in partnership with GD United and Festival Supermall showcased the creativity and ingenuity of Filipino car owners in the exciting car show and competition held last Saturday, September 13 at Festival Mall's Carousel Court.
The event which put on display 20 customized Honda Jazz and Honda City cars attracted scores of car enthusiasts and mall goers.
The 10-hour show opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by race car driver George Ramirez, son of Motoring Today host Pocholo Ramirez and XFM's Louie Zamuco.
Minutes before the coveted trophies were handed out to the winners of the contest, a live performance by pop, acoustic, and jazz artist Julianne awed the predominantly male crowd.
The winners were selected by a distinguished panel of judges that included race car driver and C! Magazine senior editor Kookie Ramirez, Francis Pallarco, tuner/editor of C! Magazine, and Philip Rubio, PR Autosport Paint and Car Modification Shop owner.
Some of the winners who took home multiple awards include Tony Papa who bagged Best Engine Display XFM's Pick, and the Best in Show Award; Tony Racelis - Best Interior, Best Theme; and Emmanuel Catalan - Best SQ - Jazz, People's Choice.
Equally lucky were a dozen spectators who headed home with raffle prizes from XFM and other event sponsors.
