The Kia Soul is here
Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC), exclusive distributor of Kia automobiles in the Philippines has recently launched the latest car in their lineup, the Soul urban crossover vehicle.
Developed from the original Kia Soul concept car designed jointly by Kia's California and Korea design studios, the production Kia Soul preserves much of the funkiness of the initial concept. With fun lines, a great profile and playful demeanor, the Kia Soul is poised to blend more excitement into the Philippine automotive landscape.
The Kia Soul measures in at 4105mm long, 1785mm wide and 1610mm tall with a 2550mm wheelbase. It's powered by a 2 liter, four cylinder gasoline units that's closely related to the Kia cee'd. With 144 PS of power and 19.0 kg-m of torque from the powerplant, there's even more fun to go around for the new Soul.
In terms of safety, the Soul is at the forefront with powerful brakes, ABS, seatbelts, crumple zones and dual airbags as standard across the range. The top of the line EX A/T model also gets an electronic stability program to further improve driveability in all conditions. The Soul even unlocks itself in the event of a collision for improved survivability.
When it comes to convenience, the Kia Soul is fully kitted with a complete array of power features with power windows, steering, locks, and side mirrors. All Souls comes standard with an AM/FM/CD/MP3 system that's been fitted with a USB slot and an auxiliary port for your media player and a cable for an iPod.
The Kia Soul is available in 10 colors: White, Vanilla Shake, Black Soul, Tomato Red, Cocktail Orange, Green Tea Latte, Moon Light Blue, Java Brown, Titanium Silver and Bright Silver. The LX variant is priced at PhP 1,170,000 for the M/T while the A/T is at PhP 1,220,000. The range topping EX A/T is at PhP 1,320,000.
