Five years of showing hot cars, hot babes and good music
Over 3,000 car fans trooped over to the annual Subic Bay Auto Show held at the Harbor Point Mall last April 12. Organized by Bigboi Productions, the event also earned its 5th year milestone of showing hot cars, hot babes and good music which has been supported by car aficionados from Olongapo, Bataan and other nearby provinces as well as participants and fans all the way from Manila as well.
This year’s event gathered close to 130 entrants for the car show competition where car tuning enthusiasts and shops battled it out to find out who’s work is worthy of receiving the judges’ approval. More than 40 cars vied to the loudest of the loudest awards in the Kicker SPL (sound pressure level) competition.
Cars at the show ranged from modified sedans, sport compacts, sports cars to full-custom tricked out vehicles. Of note in this year’s event are the mean green Nissan GT-R by Autobots Paint and Bodyworks, Mazda RX-7 of JSK, trio of JDM styled Toyota Corolla AE90 from Club AE, differently styled Honda Civic EK hatchbacks, and a lone Mazda Miata.
Local competitors upped their game with much-improved workmanship compared to the first time we visited the show, two years ago.
Car clubs showing their support to the event were the Altis Club, Club AE and Auto Gapo showing significant numbers spreading camaraderie among fellow car enthusiasts alike.
Organizers are now looking forward to their next event as well as how to bring in more attractions for participants and spectators alike.
