Safari q's

I have a '96 Nissan Safari and I would like to upgrade the suspension, I'm thinking of changing my shocks to gas types. What can you recommend? Also, how can I remouve the differential dragging noise?

Dominic

Dear Dominic

Yes, definitely gas filled shock absorbers/dampers will give better performance and ride comfort. Just specify this to the shop you are buying it from. Good brands would be Bilstein, Trailmaster, Pro-Comp, Oldman EMU, Trailmaster, and Rancho.

As to the diffrential noise, well, you can't do anything about it because its a 4x4 and the ratio is just too low especially the 4 low aspect. Most of the noise you hear is from the transfer case.

Thanks for writing.
