ABS warning

Hello,

I was disappointed to discover that it would take over $100 just to diagnose a brake warning light on my '93 Dodge Dynasty.

Also, the lowest repair to be expected was over $500 additional! I have continued to drive it, testing both the ABS and the regular braking features. No degradation in these functions has been
evident.

Is there some way to determine if the fault is in the warning system before submitting to the $600+ expense?

Lynn

Hi Lynn,

Thanx for your letter. Well its unfortunate to know that you'll have to fork out 100bucks for the ABS warning light diagnostic test. Its what you'll call hiway robbery. The problem however is one of the sensors traced to a wiring short circuit going to the dashboard. This makes it look like big trouble but its not really a big deal just as long as your brakes are working well. I do suggest that you have other tech guys look at your problem because it may just be a loose wiring or dirty terminal grounding connection of the ABS.

Thanx.
