Loss of engine power

Hi Gibs,

I have an old Toyota Corolla with 1.6L engine which I recently have a
mechanic fix some oil leaks. The mechanic removed the belts including
the timing belt. After having this repairs, I have noticed a
significant loss of power in my engine particularly in uphill climbs.

What could have went wrong during the repair? What can be adjusted to
bring back the lost power?

Dear Louie,

The problem is simple.Fix the timing, the ignition is set to retarded
causing the 4AF engine to lose power uphill. It's a simple fix. Thanx for
writing.
