Dear Gibs,
Could you give me some tips on how to properly “break-in” my 2006 Vios (1.5 A/T variant). I am confused by all the different ways of “breaking-in” that I hear from friends, the owner’s manual, and the Internet.
Thanks.

Dear Dewey
You should follow the owners manual on the proper way to break in the
unit. However,if you are in a hurry,do what drag race mechanics do.sprint the
car to little below red line in 1st and 2nd gear and slow down. Do this often
till you consume 1 full tank of gas and the moment youre through. Get a good
oil flush and put new oil. The pistons and bearings would have set in
properly by that time.
