Every morning whenever i starts my car, I smell gasoline coming out of the exhaust pipe, after 5 seconds its gone. I just want to know if its normal to my 2 months old Toyota Vios 1.5 A/T? And if its normal what causes it? Thanks for the reply.

The rich or raw gas smell is natural when starting a cold engine. It's designed to add more fuel to the car for cold starting, the engine won't stumble as the oil is too thick and circulation is slow. The moment you hit 5secs, normally it leans out till it reaches the desired oil pressure and circulation.
Thanx for writing.
