Hello,
I am June, I have a 1989 Corolla GL, and I am happy with it's performance. My problem is when my rpm reaches exactly 2K to 2.1K it seems that my engine is having some difficulties in running but after reaching 2.2Krpm it will resume it's normal running. This occur especially after switching 3rd gear going to 4th and 5th.
Kindly inform me what I'm going to do with this? Thank you so much that we have already Mr. Gibs on AutoIndustriya. Happy New Year and More Power!

Dar June,
The problem is, your carb is dirty. The transition fuet squirt of your primary throttle body of your carb of the 4AF 16V engine is clogged. Wheen reached the load with enough vacuum at 2100rpm it snuffs out means its starving and going lean in your fuel mixture. Have a competent mechanic clean and overhaul your carb by using the right tools and high pressure compressed air into the holes and jets to remove old dirt and rust coming from the tank of your 14-year old car. Get a complete carb repair kit and hav a complete tune up as well by replacing your old air, oil, fuel filters. Thanks for writing!
