Shock absorber: fluid type vs gas type

My car is a Toyota Corolla 90, I am going to replace my front shock absorber, which among the two types of shocks is better the FLUID TYPE OR THE GAS TYPE? Which among the two is also much smoother to drive in the rough road? Hope to get your answer soon.

Thanks!

Arman Tompong

Dear Arman,

Two things you need to know with gas and fluid. Gas is for smooth flat road because it's stiffer due to the hi pressure gas that's why it's made for sporty driving. But if you want soft and comfort, go for fluid especially for rough roads. Tnx 4 writing!
