Hi Gibs,
I was wondering if you could tell me whether enlarging the rims from 7" to 8", using the same tire, will do anything else aside from making the tire look better? May difference ba sa performance, safety, or stability ng tire. The tire is rated for 7-9" wide rims.
Thanks!

Dear Ted,
Wider rims should be accompanied by wider tires. As a rule, for every half inch increase in your rim, you should use 10mm wider tires. Example if your stock rims are 6 inches, use it with a 195 type. If the rims are 6.5 inches, use 205 type, and if your rims are 7, then use 215 and so on. What benefits? Better curve handling and better looks. Downside? More gas consumption and slower acceleration. Thanx 4 writing.
