Smoke emission

Dear Mr. Gibs,

I have a Mitsu Lancer '95. Everytime I go in reverse and when the car is in steady or 20-40kph a bluish smoke comes out of my muffler. Do catalytic converters resolve this problem. (i.e. pollution terminator, gaz mizer, aerogas). Any suggestions? thanks a lot.

Patrick Sison

Dear Patrick,

I'm afraid you blew a piston ring oil seal that's why your bluish smoke comes out during constant id range rpm....blow by. Yup, sadly its scheduled for an overhaul. Thnx 4 writing.

P.S. Your choice...buy a surplus half block or have it overhauled. I'd suggest, buy surplus.
