Good Day! I would like to ask the advantages/disadvantages (fuel consumption, noise, acceleration, etc.) of having an open-type air filter (ex. Simota). Hope you could help me decide if I could benefit in having one installed for my 1994 Honda ESI which has an automatic transmission.Thanks a lot and more power.

The open type will be better but noisier because of the reesonnance. The noise comes from the intake induction of the engine. The engine will breathe more, resulting in more power, maybe 1 or 2 percent increase.
