2015 Ford Everest

updated: April 22, 2016 12:38 | launched: May 20, 2015

All-new for 2015 is Ford's popular Everest. It has shed its boxy look in favor of curves and bold lines. Unlike its predecessor, the new Everest rides on coil springs and comes with a host of new technologies such as the Microsoft Sync infotainment system and Terrain Select for 4x4 models. As with most Ford models, the range starts with the Ambiente, moving up to the mid-level Trend and all the way to the top spec Titanium, which is available with the 3.2 liter turbodiesel found in the Ranger Wildtrak. The rest of the range is powered by the same 2.2 liter turbodiesel found in the Ranger. Prices range from PHP 1,339,000 to PHP 1,899,000.

When a new vehicle is launched, the natural trend (no pun intended) is that the top spec variants or top-of-the-line models are the first to be snapped up by customers.

What we're driving now -the Ford Everest Trend- isn't the top of the line variant. Instead it's the mid-grade version, one that could very well be the PPV to beat in the range and its price point.

From the get go, what I (and many of us) particularly liked about the Everest is its styling. The body is shaped and proportioned like a proper sport utility vehicle; tall, wide, and gives the feeling that it really can go anywhere.
