Wet and wild final leg of Autocross Series as heavy downpours add to excitement

The 2005 PLDT MyDSL-Petron Car Club Invitational Autocross season organized by Shago Racing came to an end in its 4th and final leg Bay Boulevard in Pasay City on October 16. The final stage of the 4-leg season attracted 130 drivers which had 180 entries in different categories.

However it wasn't business as usual this round as the heavy clouds which threated to pour eventually opened up pounding the track with more than half an hour of rain. The early runners were lucky to have their times on the dry track, because a wet track meant that the drivers have to slow down and take a different approach on the obstacles which will slow them down.

In Experienced Modified A it was Jeff Borja over Audel Sison and Nino Fabre. Uly Maningding swept away the competition in the Experienced Modified B and C taking both classes and setting the fastest time of the day at 52.91sec. Mar Medina and Gerry Reyes took home the final podium spots in Experienced Modified B. And in Experienced Modified C, it was Mar Medina and David Feliciano taking home second and third.
