2016 FIA World Touring Car Championship

For 2014, the championship requires Super 2000 cars powered by 1.6-liter turbo engines. Cars built to new specifications shall be classified as 'TC1', while cars built prior to 2014 shall be classified as 'TC2'.

Minimum weight has been increased to 1,100kg but sees an increase of maximum power output to 380 bhp. Wheel sizes have been increased to 18" with MacPherson strut suspension mandatory for all cars. Bodywork changes include a maximum width of 1,950mm, and a 100mm front splitter. Flat floors are now allowed, and single-plane rear wings will also be allowed provided they go no higher than the roof of the car.
