Last showdown for the season

The last leg of Circuit Showdown 2012 was truly the deciding round for a lot of the participants championship dreams, with the season coming to a close and the point standings being neck to neck this season really became a battle royal.

An incident between car 530 & 130 ended the championship hopes for Paolo Mantolino, resulting in the Grid Race A win & Championship going to Nino Garcia, second place in the grid race went to Mato Tan & third respectively went to Rafael La 'O. Grid Race B went to first time Grid winner Carlo Lee, followed closely by Eduardo Pujol & Don Andaya. Grid Race C were plagued with break outs but when all was said and done, the race win went to another first time winner Sandy de Guzman followed by Onyl Malabanan & Lesley Tuazon.

The Time Trails were filled with excitement as Mark Young's HKS GT800 R35, tuned by Emperor Motorsports driven by Carlos Anton, became the fastest road car to compete in the Clark International Speedway, clocking in with an astounding 2.05.548. While the fully race built CRX also driven by Carlos Anton was 3 seconds away, followed close by the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 Superleggera of Joby Tanseco. Bracket B went to Ramon de Oteyza, 2nd to Cholo Mojica & 3rd Edward dela Rosa driving the staging lanes Civic EK hatch named "pink2". In 1st place for Bracket C is Mark Sy, 2nd Bryan Alonzo & 3rd JP Pacres. In 1st place for Bracket D is Eduardo Pujol, 2nd Bong Brobio & 3rd Jerwin Mance. In 1st place for Bracket E is Ike Palinar, 2nd Jonathan Guinto & 3rd Francis delos Santos. Taking home the best time for Bracket F went to the Race ready Chevy Spark driven by Edward dela Rosa, 2nd honors went to Benedict Gregorio & in 3rd is JM de Leon.

All the Organizers of Circuit Showdown would like to thank all the participants for the support that they have given and it is through them that motorsports in the Philippines has made a comeback.
