Guys and guros of the motor world even universe, help nmn po, i have a old car and i want to clean yung engine, as in totally clean, wala pong color black, and gusto ko pong i palabas yung natural color nung metal.

i've used gasoline, luminis nmn po compared sa dati, but there are still black spots or areas, and i want sana a chemical or cleaning ingrident na mabilis mag linis ng engine, yung i aaply mo lng or spary tapos makikita mo na agad yung cleanliness nung engine, yung labas lng po ahhh, not yung loob ng engine.

and ayaw ko po sana mag pa detail kase wala nmn po akong ganun kalaking pera.

thanks po, and sana you could give clear answers po..thanks

Use a foaming degreaser first. This will remove dirt and grime on your engine. 3M brand has one. In my experience this is better than STP. Parang kerosene lang ang STP e.

Then, use APC. This will remove the tarnish/stains left by the oil deposits/grease/grime.

You can buy a ready to use APC such as those from Armor-all. Mahusay din ito. Or you can buy a concentrate from Megs, kaso parang wala atang retail nito. Good thing with the concentrated ones is you can adjust the strength of the chemical as needed.

Tapos engine wash, then dressing such as armor-all (optional).

Check mo rin muna kung magkano gagastusin mo if DIY. Baka naman mas makamura ka pa lalabas kung ipapa-detail mo na lang. Tanong ka kay big berts! =)

Isnt it that armor-all have already reformulated their product? I think water-based na sya.

Anyway thanks for that reminder, i'll have that considered. =>

Simple Green 1 part to 5 parts water.  You can dilute it some more if you find it too strong.

Simple Green.  Try 1:1 if that doesn't work, try it pure. It's strong stuff.

mga chong, it works perfectly...
grabe...
cheapest cleaner ever

one liter of premium gasoline cost for 36 pesos
tapos 1 sachet of suft yellow 6 pesos

total of 42 pesos tapos one liter na na cleaner

i'll post some pix and DIY stuff, grabe ang dami, plus pinang linis ko pa ng Mugs kong bulok

pag kas spray mo nung chemical after a while biglang bubula ng sobra, takot nga ako akala ko lusaw yung surface, pero makikita mo yung dumi na natatangal kasama nung chemical, tapos all you have to do is basaain ng tubig para mawala yung foam ng chemical then malinis na....

yun po

Ano ang dapat takpan na part/component para di mabasa habang nililinis ang engine?  Baka kasi luminis nga ung engine bay ko ... pero ayaw naman magstart ang engine! Shocked

forgot the brand but it comes in a red spray bottle (around 500ml). there are other brands available for about the same price. check it na lang at blade.
