Good Morning People:
Just a thought, i dont think making fun of these "rice" vehicles is appropriate. Having these "rice-y cars" or "rice rockets" is a reflection of our culture. Doesnt matter whether it's a poser or not. Making fun of it is like insulting ourselves. You should see Mexican or African-American cars with their chrome spinning rims. They are much worse than our "rice rockets" yet they are proud of it. Think about it people.
This is an opinion and not a statement to condemn anyone.

well we dont see much of the mexican style cars, and while I see a lot of SUVs with big rims I haven't yet seen one outside a transhow with tires thinner than what you'd find in a sports car. I've seen a Sentra on TV with mexican donut tires anf hysraulics if that satisfies your classification.  Still, like I started the thread, I was pointing more towards mismatched badges. I thought this blue beetle with a huge //////Alpine sticker was COOL, no matter how large teh sticker was, but a mitsubishi sporting TRD badges (or any other combination) is definitely top of my list of what counts as "rice", no matter how other people define the qualifications. |
