how would you install a new headunit in a factory equiped sound system....for example, the mazda3???

as far as i know, many of the Mazda 3's internal controls are incorporated in the vehicle's stock headunit...this somewhat makes upgrading to an aftermarket unit difficult (if not impossible) because you'll practically be toying around the M3's computer programs if you choose to do so...

pirelli,

if i remember right, there was an entry in a previous car show featuring an accord who had a separate HU installed so he could achieve SQ.  Yun nga lang, yung HU parang nakapatong lang dun sa ibaba ng console or something.  

i would suggest you use an LOC (Line Output Converter) so you don't have to replace your stock HU.

if you can get your hands on an installation kit, then that would be the way to go. check out some pics of mazda 3's with custom sound systems at cardomain.com to get an idea. you'll see that the entire panel for the factory head unit was replaced with a different housing and then the head unit was installed in the same area.

i agree...an installation kit is the best way to work around the OEM headunit. i'm currently checking prices for installation kits for the mazda3 and honda accord. if plans push through, i should have them in stock by january.

alam nyo ba kung saan makakabili nung stock na lcd ng mazda 3? yung color red na screen sa taas ng radio. d ko sure kung lcd tawag  dun... nasira kasi yung mazda 3 ko nung ondoy.. pero nakahanap na ako ng stock na radio pero gusto ko sana bumili ng screen.. gusto ko din kasi imaintain yung stock setting ng sasakyan. san kaya makakabili and how much will it cost?

Dami sa ebay ako nakita. yun lang nga you have to have it shipped here.
