Hi Guys,

Jut wanted to ask what are the pros and cons of buying the said automobile. Wanted to ask advice because I might get one in a few months time.

I was thinking of getting 2.5 G AT Diesel 4x2 Fortuner or Montero Sport 2.5 GLS 4x2 A/T

Please help!?! Many thanks!  Crybaby

pros:

space, utility, image, lower fuel price cost, resale value

cons:

stiff ride (fortuner), lack of power (fortuner 2.5G), commonality.

A lot of my friends also told me that. Montero Sports is the best choice. Its a bit cheaper than Fortuner and performance wise Montero sports is okay daw.

I think Montero is the best choice here. But I'm still waiting for the others input.

Thanks DTNS  Cheers

i saw 2 units 2.5L montero sport na mausok (bluish). sa fortuner d4d naman there's the stigma ng pag tirik of some units.

both are excellent value for money...

if your going to get the fortuner, it might be better to go with the gasoline version, its a bit cheaper if im not mistaken

tapos until TMP does something about it, no more potential d4d problems later on

the Fortuner 2.7G VVTi was the cheapest variant until the 2.5G manual transmission came out.  Roll Eyes

I'd still go for the Montero Sport 2.5 Di-D over both of them!  Grin

Montero na lang. Avoid D4D's for the meantime.

Only flaw I could think of for the Montero is the small legroom.

i was told by an engineer friend of mine that Montero Sport units loaded up with less-than -ideal diesel fuel will emit black smoke, baka nagtipid at sa hindi reputable gas station nagtank-up?  Read
