HELP! I need your feedbacks! My car is in honda for 3 months already!

Hello,
Since ive been a driver for just a couple of years now, i have so much to learn about the rules of the trade in the car business especially in the philippines.
Heres my story,
Ive been into a major accident last December 9, 2009. The accident was so bad, that my car had to be towed all the way to its dealer.
So from there on, it has been there in Honda Kal. As i have learned, you have to keep calling them up about updates on your car cause if you dont your car will just rot there. The insurance approved the damages of the car on January 18 2010. Thats over a month.
It was more than 100K. And even before that day, ive been calling Honda about my car. My first service advisor told me that he already pre-oredered all the necessary parts needed for the car before january 18. But it turned out, that my service advisor was unprofessional that he left me hanging, not answering my calls and consequently i got a new service advisor. lets call him Service advisor 2. Now, this service advisor 2 told me, again some of the parts have to be ordered. Some parts are still missing. And everytime i ask him when will they finish the car, his answer is always "i cant promise sir, we are still waiting some of the parts, i think this for the aircon and radiator."
AND btw, my car's Honda City 2009 we just got it last July 2009.
HELP! IS THIS NORMAL? IS IT NORMAL FOR YOUR CAR TO BE IN THE CASA FOR THREE MONTHS? SHOULD I make the necessary actions? HELP!!!

Well.. if you complained to anyone higher.. if they did anything to your car for sure you will know naman eh...Also you may want to talk to your insurance provider about this, and give them the hassle of following it up with Honda. If they dont move, demand from them if they dont fix it by this date they should either replace your car or get a discount on your next insurance. Though kilala mo rin dapat ang Insurance provider mo para talagang maaasikaso ka...

If parts are still to be ordered that will take around 45 days from the date of approval from the insurance which you said its january 18. They dont stock some of the parts in their warehouse or their plant. Thats what they usailly tell us. But the thing is they have the parts and they will let us wait. Try to visit honda kal and see if they are really working on your car.

If you complain without cursing them or loosing your top, I don't see how they'll get back at your car.

If the crash was also really bad, I think you'd really have to wait. I'm sure they were still handling the "Ondoy" backlogs still in December. The service advisor will only promise you things and make you feel better, but he will not order parts unless the insurance company actually approves the claim.
Its not the dealer's fault that it took the insurance company more than a month to approve your claim. In a business point of view, I'm sure they also want to finish the work on your car as soon as possible because as long as its in their shop, they don't get paid. If they are still waiting for parts, then you can't do anything but wait. Sometimes its actually the insurance company supplying the parts and causing the delay.

So its all the insurance provider's fault? i have to wait for at least a month and a half. Should i bring this up to the insurance?

Ive seen my car. it seemed that they are working on it, theyve removed the panels already. but do you think i should just wait and not make a big deal out of this?

I think these what you can do for the mean time.
1. Ask the Service advisor what are the parts that was ordered and when they would arrive.
2. If some parts are locally available ask your insurance company if they would reimburse you
3. Have these parts installed by Honda Kal.
I'm sure not all the parts needed for your to be fix has to ordered (from japan I guess).Otherwise a weekly call to your service advisor after the parts have arrive. But for the meantime to keep you busy you may do what I have suggested or just sit tight and relax.

this is only an idea of mine .
why don't you ask for a courtesy car from your insurance provider, and complain a little bit of the inconvenience
since its taking too long to get the car back on the road,i thing you have a case here.
