I think Rotas are great. The fact that they are even considered as sub contractors speak for itself.

I think their biggest local competitor is colonial mentality. Forged rims and other high performance wheels cant be compared because they arent even using the same process but for Rota, I believe in their good quality.

havent seen the veloce wheels, but conceptone wheels are pretty good too. though they seem to have different approach in terms of wheel designs.

more on the bling/chrome/polished lips ata type yun mga conceptone.. while the rota are more known to have race-inspired rims..

rota wheels are designed/made locally, while conceptone are designed/made elsewhere in asia. some of them are from OEM of some japan rim manufacturers. take their TCH (copy of TCII of advan) for example, it also uses hallow spokes found in the original item..

so it all depends on your budget and like/dislikes on wheel designs..

Went thru 2 sets of Rotas with my previous cars.  I think build quality is world class.  With our bad roads here though, I could understand why both sets were found to be off-round after a couple of years.

I guess next time I buy Rota, I will look for those semi-forged ones.

Yup, especially for sporty setups. Volk, Work etc Roll Eyes

For Bling, no question US made wheels.

Concept1 also manufactures quality wheels, ganda rin naman and IMO with their price, they are doing well with a specific segment here in the Ph. Wink

japanese brands are still the best..

it all depends on how/where you're going to use them. for street use here in manila, japanese rims are relatively weak. especially the 2 piece ones. madali mabengkong. for performance/racing, the best angjapanese rims because of their lightness. andun yung trade-off. basically, mas magaaan, mas manipis. the most durable and well balanced wheels in terms of lightness and toughness are the ones from germany like ronal and bbs.

Unfortunately, disclosure agreements with hefty penalties prevent us from publicly saying which brands we make. Kung puwede ko lang sabihin talaga
