Mitsubishi Motors celebrates six decades in the Philippines with Expo event
Mitsubishi Motors is celebrating an important milestone this year in the Philippines.
This 2023, they are crossing the 60-year marker on the calendar. The company has been known by different names since 1963: Chrysler Philippines Corporation, Canlubang Automotive Resources Corporation (CARCO), and Philippines Automotive Manufacturing Corporation (PAMCOR). But one has always been consistent: they will always be Mitsubishi.
To mark the momentous occasion, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is holding a 60th Anniversary Expo from August 10 to 13 at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City. There, they will showcase everything Mitsubishi has to offer such as the Strada, Montero Sport, Xpander, Xpander Cross, Mirage, Mirage G4, and L300.
Mitsubishi is also celebrating its history with a display of a lot of its historic and iconic models throughout the years. The Colt Mirage and Mirage Cyborg will be at the Expo, along with pristine examples of the Lancer box-type, Galant GTi, L200, and Pajero Fieldmaster. There will be two examples of the Lancer Evolution at the show with the Evo III and Evo IX. The car that started Mitsubishi on rally greatness will also be there: the Starion.
Visitors that want to see the future of Mitsubishi are also in for a treat as the brand is bringing several of its concept cars to the event with the XRT Concept (the future Strada) and the XFC Concept (a future B-SUV).
Customers who visit the 60th Anniversary Expo are in for a treat. They can test drive all of Mitsubishi’s models available, and they can choose which test drive course to try out: an off-road course and an on-road course, both of which are packed with obstacles.
Customers who make a booking at the event can also avail of special promos on top of the existing promos for the models. Customers that place a booking will get the chance to draw to determine an additional discount that could go up to PHP 60,000. Customers that opt for the Strada will also get an additional PHP 21,000 worth of accessories.
And for those who want to enjoy some food and entertainment, there will be plenty. Mitsubishi will be showcasing the many flavors of the nation with various regional products available at the Expo. Mitsubishi will also have the talents of musicians with live performances by Ebe Dancel (August 12, 7:00PM), Lola Amour (August 12, 3:30PM), Sandwich (August 13, 6:30PM), and Sunkissed Lola (August 13, 3:00PM).
