If there is one hotly anticipated debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show, it has to be the all new Honda Civic. Honda had the entire line up of the latest generation of their best selling compact car, with variants ranging from the Civic sedan and coupe, the high performance Si coupe, the gasoline-electric Civic Hybrid, the Civic Natural Gas as well as the new Civic HF, an all-new high fuel economy model.

"The all-new Civic builds on the popularity of the previous generation with a complete technology makeover, higher level of refinement and style while improving its position as an excellent value," said John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The Civic offers the most diverse model lineup in the industry to best meet the needs and preferences of individual customers."

In addition to the world premiere, the all new Civic also went on-sale at Honda dealerships in the U.S. The 2012 Civic will be offered with several new technologies and features including a 5-inch LCD "intelligent" Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which provides access to multiple customizable features. Additionally, all Civic models except the Civic Si will receive Eco Assist technology, an innovation that can enhance efficient vehicle operation while providing feedback to promote more-efficient individual driving styles.

According to Sheryl delos Santos of Honda Cars Philippines, there is still no definitive date as to when the all new Civic will arrive, though preliminary indications point to sometime mid to late 2012.
