2011 New York Auto Show: Lexus LF-Gh
A new age for Lexus
At the New York Auto Show, one manufacturer is out to show the crowd what their new direction is set to take over the next few years as Lexus debuts a new concept with the LF-Gh. According to Lexus, the LF-Gh concept is their latest study on their next generation grand touring sedan, which is indicative that it will develop to be the replacement of the current GS line up.
The LF-Gh was designed to be a high-performance concept capable of providing an engaging driving experience yet comfortably transports multiple occupants at higher speeds over great distances. The bold, wide stance is consistent with the goal of high levels of driving dynamics, as well as having the proportions of an agile, responsive sedan. Lexus also departs from their signature trapezoidal grille for a spindle-shaped one, a powerful design element that distinguishes the look of the LF-Gh from the traditional Lexus.
The LF-Gh may only be a concept, but blue LED Lexus Hybrid Drive badges located on the front grille and rear trunk lid signal an intention to provide equal measures of fuel efficiency and performance on demand for the future production model.
