PGA Cars initially offering S line Audi A1 at introductory prices
We recently announced the arrival of the new Audi A1, which finally makes its way to Philippine shores after much delay due to supply issues. Official distributor PGA Cars announced that it will initially be offering limited S-Line versions of the A1 at a special price of PhP1,980,000.
The A1 is based on VW Group’s PQ25 platform used for the fourth generation SEAT Ibiza and fifth generation VW Polo, with collaboration done with SEAT for the development. The A1 is being built in Audi’s Forest plant in Belgium.
Instead of the top-spec dual-charged 185PS 1.4-liter dual charged TFSI engine, only the 1.4-liter turbocharged TFSI engine will be offered for the Philippine market due to our fuel quality. The turbocharged engine is capable of producing 122PS @ 5000 rpm and achieves max torque of 200Nm from 1500 to 4000rpm. The engine will be mated to an S tronic seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with ESP and an electronic limited slip differential.
Audi claims a frugal fuel consumption of 18.86 km/liter for the 1.4-liter TFSI engine through the help of an automatic start-stop system and regenerative braking.
The S-Line package includes sports suspension, front and rear bumper upgrades, roof spoiler, side skirts, 17-inch alloy wheels, three-spoke steering wheel and S-Line leather/fabric seats. Navigation is also included but will be activated only when a compatible map is available.
Several customizations for the A1 will be available ranging from exterior color contrast options and accessories to a plethora of interior options and a Bose premium audio system.
