MINI teased their Facebook fans with photos of a partly camouflaged MINI Paceman; the newest member of the ever growing (in more ways than one) MINI family. The Paceman was first shown to the public via its concept model at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show and is classified as a sports activity coupe by MINI.
While most people expected this model to be called as the MINI Countryman Coupe, MINI decided to retain the name of the concept and dubbed it the MINI Paceman. Although the front portion of the Paceman resembles the Countryman, its slanting roofline and relatively trimmed down rear portion seems enough reason for MINI to give this particular model a new name.
“Powerful and agile” are the only adjectives that MINI used to describe the Paceman. Although an All4 AWD system for this model is highly possible considering its larger size and the badge on that can be found on the lower portion of the door panels. More details will surely surface as the release date of the MINI Paceman approaches early next year.
