BMW has revealed the X4 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). BMW says its new SAC combines the performance and capability of a premium SAC with the style and elegance of a traditional coupe. It will make its world debut the New York International Auto Show in April.
Compared to the X3, the X4 is 14mm longer and 37mm lower. It has a length of 4,680mm and has a height of 1,624mm. The front end of the X4 is designed with a large air intake on the outer edges of the front fascia. The lines in the front apron of the vehicle give the X4 a muscular look. It has a twin round Xenon headlights and an LED foglights underneath. The X4 is also designed with a signature swage line that splits into two.
The interior of the BMX X4 creates the feel of a classic sports coupe. It has a driver focused cabin with subtle electroplated accents, a high-gloss black-panel look, and aluminum trim strips in the wood panel. The X4 also has a 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats and a Sport leather steering wheel It has a load capacity of between 500 and 1,400 liters.
The X4 features an automatically opening tailgate, Variable Sport Steering, 18-inch light-alloy wheels, front and rear Park Distance Control, and Performance Control. It also has an optional full-color Head-up Display, which projects all important driving information and the assistance system displays into the driver’s field of vision.
The new BMW X4 will have three diesel engine to choose from. The BMW X4 xDrive20d SE is a 2.0 liter diesel engine that can generate 193PS with 400Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.0 seconds and comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, but can be optionally specified with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The BMW X4 xDrive30d is a 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine that has 262PS with 560Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds. The BMW X4 xDrive35d is a 3.0 liter diesel engine that has 317PS with 630Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds.
