The Lexus GX 460 gets a facelift and other feature upgrades for 2014. The 2014 model includes a reinterpreted Lexus spindle grille with standard LED headlights and daytime running lights with optional LED fog lamps. Among the interior upgrades are an 8” screen, back-up monitor, HD Radio, Bluetooth audio, and a vehicle information display. The cabin also gets some aesthetic treatment with a linear espresso wood/abyss black trim and mahogany wood trim. The SUV also offers an available Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
It comes with two variants: the Premium Package and Luxury model. Both variants are powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine with a six-speed Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence. The SUV is capable of 305 PS while maintaining 6.4 km/L and 8.5 km/L for city driving and highway driving respectively. The standard full-time four-wheel drive uses an electronically controlled transfer case and a torque-sensing limited slip center differential (TORSEN) that can be locked electronically.
The GX 460 is one of the few premium luxury SUVs designed for both the road and trail. Lexus Philippines might launch the updated model within the year but no further details were given.
