Comes with four exterior cameras and a special charging tray for mobile devices
After getting a glimpse of a futuristic design for NX last September 25, Lexus and Will.i.am recently displayed a bespoke version of the NX 200t F crossover. The car was designed as an interpretation of Will.i.am's vision for the newly-released compact crossover.
Embodying the “Striking Angles” campaign by Lexus, Will.i.am applied his personal touches to the car's exterior by combining brushed aluminum and carbon vinyl for the bodywork along with the artist's signature monochrome, matte pearl white finish. The panoramic glass roof is tinted in black and the front and rear wings are combined to give a diamond-shaped body look. Completing the unique exterior demeanor of the NX is a set of 22-inch black finished wheels that sit in front of orange brake calipers.
Four 180 degree cameras surround the NX that enables customers to take panoramic photographs and video while on the move. The captured moments can be viewed via the customer's smartphones by way of Bluetooth.
Inside, brushed aluminum decorate the interior and is contrasted by soft materials. The seats are covered in Nappa leather which was hand-selected by Will.i.am himself and features an embroidery of his “Willpower” logo. The aluminum floor mats were also specified by the artist. Knowing the fact that people have multiple mobile devices, the NX features a unique charging tray that allows wireless charging of smartphones or related gadgets without connecting cables. Sound entertainment is provided by Pioneer and is channeled through 10 speakers that is comprised of 6.5-inch units at the front and rear doors and 2.5-inch units at the instrument panel.
Powering the bespoke NX is a 2.0-liter VVT-iW gasoline turbo engine that produces 238 PS and 350 Nm of torque at 1650-4000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and can go from 0-100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds.
