Audi has just extended the model range of the 2015 TT by introducing an all-new entry-level variant powered by a 1.8-liter TFSI engine. To become available in Germany by July, the new variant will be available on both Coupe and Roadster versions, and can be fitted with optional S-Tronic 6-speed gearbox.

With an exact displacement of 1,798cc, the new turbocharged 1.8-liter powerplant produces a healthy 180 PS along with a torque rating of 250 Nm. When mated with the standard 6-speed manual gearbox, the TT Coupe can accelerate from 0 – 100 km/ in 6.9 seconds while the S-Tronic version can do it in 7.0 seconds. Top speed is limited at 241 km/h.

For the TT Roadster however, its 0 – 100 km/h comes in at 7.2 seconds for the manual and the S-Tronic clocks in at 7.3 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 237 km/h.

Even though it is labeled as an entry-level model, Audi has stated that it is still fitted with the nameplate's standard features that can be found on the higher-tier models like: MMI interface, 12.3-inch binnacle display, LED or HID headlights and the electronically-controlled retractable roof (on Roadster models) which opens and closes in 10 seconds.
