Honda has released new details regarding the 2015 Civic Type R which will debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show next month.
Judging from the teaser photos, the 2015 Honda Civic Type R closely resembles the concept debuted in Geneva last year. It comes with a sporty front bumper that is designed to "inhibit air turbulence around the front wheels, cutting drag and enhancing high-speed stability." It is also fitted with a wide front splitter and deep side skirts to manage airflow and reduce lift.
In addition, Honda has confirmed that the Civic Type R will have a noticable rear wing as well as underbody panels along with a rear diffuser to optimize downforce. The Civic Type R is also equipped with a high performance Brembo brake package and finished off with 19-inch alloy wheels.
However, the automaker remains secretive in handing out the performance rating of the Type R but, Honda announced that the vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter direct injection VTEC Turbo engine which allows the Type R to have a top speed of 270 km/h.
