Just months after unveiling the five-door i20 hatchback at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, Hyundai has recently revealed a three-door coupe designed to attract “young” and “lifestyle-oriented” individuals.
At first glance, the 2015 i20 coupe looks sportier compared to its five-door hatchback counterpart. Up front, the 2015 i20 coupe can be differentiated with its larger hexagonal grill, restyled bumper and new fog lamp design. Turning at the side, the vehicle is fitted with a black garnish and characterized by sharper lines.
The rear of the 2015 i20 coupe is fitted with a new bumper design, bigger taillights, aggressive reflector lights and redesigned spoiler. It also has bold wheel arches which dominate the rear quarter of the coupe. The vehicle is finished off with 17-inch alloy wheels.
Hyundai says the i20 coupe is available with a “Tangerine Orange” exterior paint that can be matched with an orange interior. The Korean automaker also claims that the vehicle has a 336-liter boot space.
The 2015 i20 coupe will be powered by the same engine as the hatchback model including a 1.25 four-cylinder petrol that delivers 84 PS with 122 Nm of torque; a 1.4-liter petrol that generates 100 PS with 134 Nm; a 1.1-liter diesel that produces 75 PS with 180 Nm; and a 1.4-liter diesel with 90 PS and 240 Nm.
