Powertrain and interior details are yet to be confirmed
The first official images of the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan were revealed ahead of its global debut at the 2014 Thailand Motor Expo on November 28.
The Mazda2 is the brand's subcompact model and it is known as the Demio in the Japanese market where it was originally launched. The exterior of the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan is incorporated with the Japanese automaker's “Kodo – Soul of Motion” design concept.
Up front, the sharp-looking headlights can right away get your attention as well as the protruded grill that comes along with chrome insert. The 2015 Mazda2 Sedan is also equipped with an aggressive bumper that houses the vehicle's fog lamps. Meanwhile, smmoth flowing lines characterized the side of the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan.
The rear end of the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan resembles the design of the Mazda3. It is equipped with darkened tailights and bootlid-mounted spoiler. The bumper is fitted with reflectors and accented by black garnish.
However, Mazda has yet to release the interior and powertrain details of the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan officials. As previously reported, the 2015 Mazda2 Sedan could be powered by a 1.5-liter SkyActiv diesel engine that delivers 106 PS for the Thai market to qualify under the eco-car program; being the first diesel powered passenger car classified as such.
