Berjaya Auto Philippines (BAP), the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country, launched the 2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon at Whitespace Manila in Pasong Tamo, Makati City. In addition, BAP introduced the updated version of the Mazda6 sedan and the CX-5.
2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon
First previewed during the 2015 Manila International Auto Show, the Mazda6 Sports Wagon is fitted with adaptive LED headlights, a large bumper, a wide grill and prominent wheel arches. The vehicle's fascia also comes with a sculpted hood and chrome trims.
The rear of the 2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon has LED taillights along with a roof-mounted spoiler and dual exhaust pipes. The vehicle also has a shark-fin antenna, roof rails and it is finished off with 19-inch aluminum wheels.
Inside, the 2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon features polished aluminum look inserts along with soft touch materials. The vehicle's 7-inch screen is controlled via the rotary wheel which is found near the shift gear. The 2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon also comes with power seats 8-way adjustment for the driver and a 6-way for the passenger. Furthermore, Mazda's wagon comes with an electronic parking brake.
The 2015 Mazda6 Sports Wagon is powered by a 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G engine that delivers 187 PS and 290 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Aside from the Sports Wagon, BAP revealed the updated version of its flagship sedan. Aesthetically, the exterior as well as the interior of the 2015 Mazda6 Sedan looks similar with the Sports Wagon.
Under the hood, the 2015 Mazda6 Sedan is powered by a 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G engine that delivers 187 PS and 290 Nm of torque.
2015 Mazda CX-5
BAP has also introduced the 2015 Mazda CX-5. Compared to its previous model, the 2015 Mazda CX-5 has a restyled grill and new fog light design. In addition, the 2015 CX-5 now comes with adaptive LED headlights and 19-inch wheels.
The rear of the 2015 CX-5 has distinctive combination taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, a large bumper and dual tailpipes.
The interior of the 2015 CX-5 features a new instrument cluster, a leather steering wheel and a 7-inch Mazda Connect display. Similar to the Mazda6, the 2015 CX-5 also has an electronic parking brake switch as well as a rotary commander switch.
BAP also announced a new entry level variant of the CX-5. According to BAP, the 2015 CX-5 FWD Maxx is equipped with 2.0-liter SkyActiv engine as well as features such as 'Drive Selection' and electronic parking brake.
The 2015 CX-5 is powered either by a 2.5- or a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G engine. The 2.5-liter delivers 188 PS and 240 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter generates 155 PS and 200 Nm of torque.
