Opel reveals the 2015 Corsa OPC hot hatch

Powered by a 1.6L engine that delivers 210 PS

Opel has revealed the 2015 Corsa OPC ahead of its debut at the 85th Geneva International Motor Show in March. The automaker says the 2015 Corsa OPC (Opel Performance Center) combines “extreme uncompromising athleticism with outstanding sustainability for everyday use.”

Up front it has large air intakes with aluminum framing, an aggressive bumper and a mesh grill. The 2015 Corsa OPC also comes with sharp-looking headlights that wrap around the fender and a small scoop that gives the vehicle an “additional optical dash of athleticism.”

The rear of the vehicle is characterized by strong lines and fitted with distinctive taillights, a spoiler and a twin-pipe Remus exhaust system.

Inside it is equipped with Recaro performance seats, a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, a dual dial gauge cluster and an OPC gear knob. The automaker adds that the 2015 Corsa OPC features the new 'IntelliLink' infotainment system, though it is available as an option.

Under the hood the 2015 Corsa OPC is powered by a 1.6-liter Turbo Ecotec engine that delivers 210 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Opel says it can go from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

In the UK, the model will be marketed under the Vauxhall brand.
