Subaru has confirmed that the 2015 WRX STI will be making its global debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The iconic performance flagship model will be based on the WRX, which made its reveal at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November (pictured above).
No official details have been revealed about the upcoming performance model except for the fact that it will exclusively be available in a 4-door sedan form. What we're sure of is that the STi will surely have a larger hood scoop and an aggressive rear wing.
Rumors going around the automotive world have indicated that Subaru plans to drop a 300-hp 2.5-liter boxer turbo engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission instead of the 2.0-liter turbo which comes with the WRX.
