2015 Toyota 86 revealed with new upgrades

Driving dynamics get significant improved

Toyota released the 86 a couple of years ago and since then, the Japanese automaker’s engineering team didn’t cease to develop the car’s dynamics.

For the 2015 model, the 86 has been unveiled with a revised suspension, along with minor changes to its exterior and interior.

“There is no reason that development should stop, only because the vehicle has gone on sale. 86 is all about driver involvement, and we are committed to keep enhancing this aspect of the car. The 2015 Model Year delivers the latest status of 86’s continuous evolution,” said Tetsuya Tada, the car’s chief engineer.

Outside, the updated 86 now comes with a shark-fin antenna and a revised color palette, such as the new pearl-white and silver paint finish, that intends to improve the car’s ‘looks and aerodynamics.’

Inside, a new carbon-fiber motif dashboard insert enables the car to have a ‘more premium appearance.’

The 2015 Toyota 86 also has strengthened front suspension and an upgraded rear shock absorbers. Toyota says these changes now provide more stable damping and improved friction control that deliver a smoother drive, reduced body roll and an ‘even crisper’ steering feel.
