Audi's midsize luxury sedans receive a makeover for 2016 after the Ingolstadt-based automaker recently revealed the refreshed A6 and A7. Set to feature a sharper design, along with new cabin amenities, both the 2016 A6 and A7 will have the latest in quality, design and technology.
According to Audi, both models get a restyled front end that highlights the car's horizontal fascia. The lower air intakes are now flanked by new contours while black struts divide the ventilation grills. Models fitted with the optional S line exterior package, on the other hand, get a new radiator grill along with slats finished in gloss chrome and matte black.
The side sill and rear bumper also get a slight redesign as they now feature a more angular design. Completing it all is a new integrated rear diffuser that touches up the rear design of the midsize sedans.
Two new colors, Matador Red and Gotland Green, are now available for the 2016 A6 and A7. Java Brown, which was originally exclusive to the A6 Allroad can now be specified for the A6, A6 Avant and A7. Rounding off the exterior revisions are three new wheel designs for all models.
As previously mentioned, Audi has fitted the updated models with new cabin features. Wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple Carplay can now be accessed through the MMI display. There is even wireless inductive smartphone charging, along with two detachable Audi tablets for added entertainment.
Still powering the A6 and A7 models are a wide range of TFSI and TDI engines, that can be mated to a manual or tiptronic 7-speed and 8-speed gearboxes.
