Kia has released official sketches of the upcoming 2016 Sportage which is set to debut at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA - International Motor Show) in Frankfurt next month.
As with previous generations, the upcoming Sportage will share its platform with the 2015 Hyundai Tucson. The exterior design sketches appear to represent the design concept for the actual vehicle, which features Kia signature 'tiger-nose' grill, muscular arches, sweptback lines, and a low slung roof.
The interior reveals a more modern minimalist style, more typical of European marques. It appears to be consistent of Kia's latest offerings such as the latest iterations of the Sorento and Optima. The sketch also hints at a possible red or amber ambient lighting for the interior.
It will officially debut at the 2016 IAA in Frankfurt on September 17.
