First convertible under the C-Class model series
Mercedes-Benz has released an official design sketch of the C-Class Cabriolet, set to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next month.
The German automaker said that the C-Class Cabriolet is a sporty four-seater vehicle that is based on the model's coupe version. Mercedes-Benz added that “for the first time in the history of this model series, there will also be a C-Class Cabriolet.”
While details remain to be scarce, the C-Class Cabriolet is expected to feature a fabric top that is fitted with a retractable hardtop.
In addition, engine choices have not been revealed yet, but, the open-top vehicle could be equipped with the following power units: a 244 PS 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine; a 510 PS 4.0-liter V8; and a 367 PS 3.0-liter V6. Automatic transmissions are reported to be standard.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet will debut on March 1 at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
