Mercedes-Benz has revealed the latest addition to its S-Class lineup – the 2016 S65 AMG Cabriolet.
According to the German automaker, the S65 Cabriolet features an “irresistible, timeless design line.” Up front, the vehicle is fitted with a “twin blade” radiator grill, a large bumper, sweptback headlights, and a splitter finished in chrome.
The rear of the S65 Cabriolet is equipped with a twin AMG sports exhaust system, a diffuser and distinctive taillights. In addition, chrome trim is integrated into the vehicle's rear design. It sits on a set of 20-inch forged wheels, featuring a ceramic high-sheen finish.
Mercedes-Benz said that the vehicle's fabric soft top is available in black, dark blue, beige and dark red. It can be opened and closed up to a speed of 50 km/h. The automaker adds that opening and closing takes around 17 seconds.
Inside, the S65 Cabriolet comes with Nappa leather sports seats with electrical adjustment, climatization and memory functions. The interior also has 'DINAMICA' microfiber-finished soft top lining, a three-spoke sport steering wheel as well as 'AIRCAP' and 'AIRSCARF' system, automatic wind protection features.
Powering the 2016 S65 Cabriolet is a 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbo engine that delivers 639 PS and 1000 Nm of torque. It is mated to the brand's '7G-Tronic AMG Speedshift' automatic transmission.
