Volkswagen has introduced the 2016 Touran R-Line package which features a sportier exterior and updated interior. In this regard, the German automaker says the R-Line package gives the Touran an “unmistakably sporty, dynamic appearance.”
Compared to the standard Touran, the R-Line version comes with modified bumpers, body-colored air intakes and black gloss accents. The vehicle also gets R-Line badging as seen on the radiator grill.
Turning at the side, the vehicle is fitted with a high-gloss black side skirt, silver anodized roof rails and R-Line logos on the front doors. The Touran R-Line is finished off with 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the 2016 Touran R-Line features “race” upholstery, a titanium black headliner, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel and aluminum pedals.
Engine options for the 2016 Touran R-Line remain the same with either the 1.2-liter TSI gasoline engine that delivers 110 PS; the 1.4-liter TSI that generates 150 PS; and the 1.8-liter TSI that produces 180 PS. There's also the 1.6-liter TDI diesel engine that puts out 110 PS as well as two 2.0-liter TDIs that is available in either 150 PS and 190 PS configuration.
